Mission

The Friends of Florida State Parks was founded in 1993 as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation. In 2018 we changed our name to Florida State Parks Foundation. Our mission is to support the entire Florida State Park System of 175 parks and trails through programs and projects that: ● preserve and protect state parks ● educate visitors and decision makers about the value of state parks ● encourage community engagement and active use of state parks ● collaborate with others to provide financial support to supplement state funding.
