Vision

The vision of GHERF is to improve the body, mind, and spirit of South-Central Virginia residents through the healing powers of the horse, access to healthy organic foods, and education in regenerative agriculture and sustainable farming practices that strengthen individuals, families, communities, and the environment.

Goals

1. 1.GHERF will provide nutritious, organically grown fruit and vegetables for low-income families in need of healthy food options that will benefit their overall well-being.
2. 2.GHERF aims to expand inclusive equine assisted therapeutic programs and regenerative agriculture education for K 12 students, marginalized farmers, at risk youth, veterans, and individuals with disabilities while increasing access to healthy organic foods, workforce development, and sustainable community wellness across South Central Virginia.
3. 3.GHERF is working toward the long-term sustainability of the organization by expanding its collaborations with other organizations to invest in our capacity development and financial management.
