Mission

THE MISSION OF THE PEACE AT HOME FAMILY SHELTER IS TO EMPOWER VICTIMS OF FAMILY VIOLENCE AND THEIR CHILDREN TO SURVIVE AND THRIVE BY NURTURING THEIR SELF-DETERMINATION AND COURAGE; AND TO PROMOTE HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS AND COMPASSIONATE COMMUNITIES THROUGH EDUCATION, OUTREACH, AND ADVOCACY.

Goals

1.Invest in succession planning pipeline-this includes documentation of daily tasks and responsibilities, surveying staff to assess interest in leadership roles, budgeting overlap for CEO, CFO, and DOP positions, and provide cross training opportunities for interested staff
2.Improve communication across teams; implement more opportunities for feedback, create check lists and FAQ for new staff members, develop mentor program for new staff
3.Conduct annual benefit package assessment, biannual salary assessment, and annual professional development survey to ensure staff are prepared, committed and supported in the work ahead
