Mission

Unity Care is a 501(c)3) organization headquartered in San Jose, CA, committed to preventing homelessness and ending poverty for young adults when they age out of foster care. Since our founding in 1993, we have served over 25,000 young adults throughout multiple cities in Northern California, including San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose. Through a trauma-responsive and proactive Five Pillars of Support Program Model delivered by staff with lived experience in foster care and homelessness, clients receive housing, educational, employment, financial, and mental wellness services. Annually, we help over 500 young people impacted by foster care acquire critical skills, build confidence, and achieve career success, so they never have to face homelessness or poverty again in their lives.
