Vision

The Conservancy has embarked upon a multi-year project to increase the variety, density, and health of the plantings. We are also focused on cleanliness and improved overall maintenance of the Square.

Goals

1. 1.Manage the plantings, lawn and trees within the Square.
2. 2.The paid Groundskeeper sweeps and washes the pathways, empties the trash and monitors the benches, garbage containers and fences. The paid Horticulturalist manages all the plantings, lawn and trees.
3. 3.Benches and dedication plaques have been renovated, historic fences and chains are painted and maintained. With the NYC Parks Department Art & Antiquities, the Doughboy Statue is cleaned annually.
