Vision

Lighthouse For Hope addresses the financial and emotional burdens of childhood cancer. Families face overwhelming costs including medical bills, travel, lodging, meals, and lost income, with 95% reporting financial strain and 87% facing work disruptions (NCCS, 2018). Frequent treatment visits, even for those living nearby, create ongoing expenses. Beyond finances, families often feel isolated. Research shows peer support improves mental health, yet few safe spaces exist for connection. Lighthouse For Hope fills this gap by offering both financial relief and a strong support network. Our “Hope Families” program provides vital assistance and community. Demand is growing—our current waitlist has 50 families, five times our monthly average. These are unduplicated, urgent cases. Our mission is to ensure no family faces childhood cancer alone.

Goals

1. 1.We aim to reduce our Hope Families waitlist by scaling support services and expanding financial assistance to reach at least 50% more families, ensuring greater access to immediate, practical aid for those facing pediatric cancer.
2. 2.We are prioritizing and investing in our three core programs, Hope Families, Illuminate Retreats, and community connection, while phasing out non-essential activities to focus our resources where they make the greatest impact.
3. 3.We plan to grow organizational capacity by increasing recurring revenue through monthly donors, enhancing data systems to track impact, and investing in staff development to improve service delivery and sustainability.
