Mission

CALEB is a community organizing nonprofit that brings together faith communities, labor unions, and grassroots organizations to build collective power and amplify the voices of everyday people. We organize residents across Chattanooga and the surrounding region to create change in economic, political, and social institutions, while mobilizing clergy, lay leaders, and community members to take action in their communities. Grounded in a shared vision for a more just and equitable city, we work collectively to identify and address the issues that matter most to our communities. Through relationship-building, leadership development, and collective action, we strengthen communication and collaboration across lines of race, religion, age, and income, and empower residents to shape the policies that impact their lives. By building unity and increasing civic participation, we drive meaningful change and improve the quality of life for all.
