Musically Fed

Mission

We are a non-profit organization that works to mobilize the music industry in the fight against hunger. We work with artists, promoters, management, and venues nationwide to donate unused, backstage meals to community organizations serving at least 50% veterans and who focus on feeding the homeless, hungry, and food insecure. Musically Fed identifies the opportunities, procures the resources, and coordinates all aspects of food handling, transport, and distribution. Our goal is to make it easy for promoters and performers to leave each city they visit with a lasting, positive impact.

A world without hunger and a wholly sustainable entertainment/live music industry.

Goals

1.We hope to establish a starving student initiative that focuses on repurposing unused catering from entertainment industry events to provide food availability for food insecure students nationwide via their colleges/universities or an outside organization.
2.We want to educate sports and entertainment venues across the nation how to continue the process of repurposing unused catering and concessions to organizations in need in their communities.
3.We want to assess what really does serve and provide success to our mission by implementing an evaluation process based on growth and success measures, including scalability.
