Mission

Sicangu CDC is creating a better world for future generations by building Wicozani – or holistic wellbeing – for our tribal relatives. Our initiatives in food sovereignty, health, education, and housing do this by empowering people, strengthening families, and building community – Lakota style.

We are Sicangu. We see a world where we are healthy and whole in body, mind, and spirit connected to the earth, stars, and all our relations. We are living that world into being.

Goals

1.This year, we have been hiring for management positions and promoting within Sicangu CDC- especially within our finance department. Strengthening the back bone of our work that is management has already begun to show progress and positive impacts on our work with the community. We have a goal to fill our vacant positions with proud Sicangu people/Sicangu supporters.
