Gap Ministries

Mission

GAP Ministries stands in the gap to bring help to children, healing to families, and hope to our community. We care for children and teens in nurturing foster and family-style group homes, and go beyond to intentionally break cycles of poverty and abuse. GAP provides training and supervised visitation to biological families working to reunite with their children; we redistribute food and basic needs items to low-income families through nonprofit partnerships and individual shoppers; nutritious meals are prepared for low-income children, seniors and others in need; career and life development training offers individuals coming from difficult places the skills and career opportunities to provide for their families.

1.In 2021 GAP Ministries purchased a 4.82-acre property. This will allow us to expand our current programs and add new programs that will serve more hurting children and families in our community.
2.GAP's programs bring practical relief to those in need. But we must also teach our clients how to change behaviors and circumstances that keep them impoverished and imprisoned in destructive cycles.
3.GAP will provide advanced trauma informed training and a more holistic approach in all programs going forward. This leads to a positive trajectory for our client's lives to ensure continued success.
