Now in its fifth year, the Future Filmmakers Foundation is a non-profit organization located in northern Nevada dedicated to providing enriching, hands-on, filmmaking experiences for underprivileged children, aged 5 - 18, enrolled at several community organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows as well as Big Brothers & Big Sisters. The Foundation brings together award-winning professional filmmakers and emerging local filmmakers to partner with over 100 children who write and star in their own short films, then attend a red-carpet premiere dubbed the “Film Day Challenge.” All at no cost to their families. The Future Filmmakers Foundation is proud to provide a safe, healthy and enriching experience for kids who need it most, while also encouraging creativity, self-discovery, and confidence in general. There is a role for every child, and they can enjoy time with peers and professionals, promoting physical activity and positivity, a healthy meal and an encouraging, safe space to create.

Future Filmmakers Foundation cannot be rated because Charity Navigator has not received the public data required to create a star rating.
To receive a star rating, a charity must be a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) public charity. Private foundations, consolidated subsidiaries, and organizations with revoked or inactive IRS status are not eligible for a rating.
