SCFFL Foundation
Mission
At the SCFFL Foundation, our goal is to positively impact the lives of children, youth groups, and sports programs within our community. Our mission involves uniting businesses and individuals from various backgrounds to create meaningful change for these children and families. We are dedicated to utilizing our resources and community connections to reach this objective. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, we focus on supporting other charities by organizing fundraising events that benefit those selected charities in need.
Vision
The SCFFL Foundation is built on the values of altruism and philanthropy. These principles guide our community engagement, enabling us to extend our influence beyond what any individual involved with the foundation could accomplish alone. The SCFFL Foundation is at the core of our community, with team members, volunteers, sponsors, and guests all playing crucial roles in our success. We are committed to supporting our recipient charities and the individuals they assist. The Foundation seeks to embody the spirit of these communities and encourages every participant in our mission to take on a responsible role. The Foundation is devoted to leveraging the unique talents and perspectives of every participant, regardless of their abilities or backgrounds. We understand that the organizations we support have ongoing needs that must be addressed, and we believe there are no better ways to connect those needs with individuals who can provide assistance.
Goals
- 1.In 2024, The SCFFL Foundation launched its own athletic program designed to support promising youth from the Santa Cruz County and Pajaro Valley area who possess remarkable athletic abilities but may face financial barriers to pursuing their sports. Each year, we aim to expand our efforts and support more high-performing young athletes by allocating grants for club fees and equipment needs.
- 2.This year, our mission remains focused on providing support and improving the health of children with 22q deletion syndrome, while also extending financial assistance to a Santa Cruz non-profit, the Skills Of Life Cafe.
- 3.The Skills of Life Cafe is a local Santa Cruz non-profit offering job training via a curriculum model for our local teens and young adults with intellectual disabilities/special needs (Autism, Downs Syndrome, etc). They are filling the gap, offering a more challenging work centered program.
