Vision

Let’s Save the Strays International LLC vision is a world where the humane animal management practice of Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Release (TNVR) is embraced as the primary solution to overpopulation and rabies control in Myanmar, where all free-roaming dogs in Myanmar are accepted and cared for humanely in their communities, and do not transmit rabies to people and other animals.

Goals

1. 1.Let's Save The Strays Int'l focuses on improving the welfare of free-roaming dogs and cats through sustainable TNVR programs. The organization works in underserved regions, primarily in Myanmar, addressing rabies and overpopulation in cities like Yangon and Mandalay. Its unique approach emphasizes sustainability by partnering with local teams to ensure long-term, effective solutions.
2. 2.Veterinary Training and Capacity Building Build sustainability by training veterinary teams to lead TNVR efforts and deliver high-quality care. Programs: Train Burmese veterinarians and students in TNVR and humane handling through partnerships like WVS and Soi Dog. Develop skilled teams to ensure sustainable practices and provide ongoing education to expand their expertise and capacity.
3. 3.Rabies Prevention Through TNVR Objective: Address Asia's rabies crisis by vaccinating and sterilizing free-roaming dogs to prevent the spread of rabies and reduce overpopulation. Vaccinate all animals during TNVR, helping to mitigate the nearly 1,000 rabies-related deaths caused by dog bites annually.
