Vision

The vision of the Imagination Library of San Antonio is to address lack of access to early literacy enrichment by providing free, high-quality books to children from birth to age 5 to start their own home library. Our goal is to inspire a love of reading, improve educational outcomes, and close equity gaps in underserved areas.

Goals

1. 1.The Imagination Library of San Antonio provides a free book-gifting service for children from birth to age 5, delivering books directly to the children's homes every month. We are part of Dolly's proven, evidence-based initiative that has successfully distributed millions of books worldwide.
2. 2.The Imagination Library of San Antonio will begin enrollment in early 2025, primarily in South Bexar County, where access to libraries remains limited in some zip codes. By targeting these areas first, we aim to address gaps in early literacy resources. Enrollment will grow as funding allows, with the ultimate goal of offering enrollment to ALL eligible children in San Antonio.
3. 3.By late 2025, we want to assess & expand our operations by evaluating our impact, refining our outreach strategies, expanding our enrollment, and pursuing grants.
