Vision

At The Friendship Journey, we believe that everyone deserves to experience friendship. Our inclusive experiences create opportunities for individuals of all abilities to connect and grow as friends.

Goals

1. 1.The Friendship Initiative DBA The Friendship Journey began as a small grass roots volunteer organization providing programs of inclusion for children and young adults with disabilities in 2012. Over the years we have been working to expand our reach in South Florida as well as nationwide through our virtual summer camp program, as well as hiring a program consultant to work with our volunteers.
2. 2.In addition to hiring a paid program consultant, we continue to work on our infrastructure to support our virtual program as well as creating content to bring community awareness to the inclusive programs we offer to those with disabilities.
3. 3.We have developed a number of community partnerships to expand on our in person programming with organizations such as The Florida Panthers/American Special Hockey Association and Broward Center for Performing Arts, and look to expand the experiences we can provide to those we serve.
