The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: Education: Drawing on modern ecological science and the traditional ecological knowledge of the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe, the DRNC brings people the wisdom, data, skills and attitudes to serve as informed citizens of the Dungeness River Watershed and serves as a model for watershed-based environmental education in general.
Goal Two: Stewardship: Through our actions and on-site demonstrations and education in Railroad Bridge Park, we inspire visitors to adopt conservation practices in their own lives and their communities. We serve as a hub to bring funding, resources, and information to bear on fostering stewardship actions throughout the Dungeness and Sequim Bay watersheds.
Goal Three: DRNC maintains a culture of inclusion, professionalism, and open communication that calls forth the best efforts of staff, volunteers, board and members. Policies and procedures are reviewed for compliance with laws, regulations, Bylaws and customary nonprofit business practices. We aim to create and maintain a culture that welcomes and rewards staff, volunteers, partners, and visitors.
