Our mission is to provide superior quality and affordable music education to aspiring musicians of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds within a supportive and encouraging community. Blue Bear's Music Education and Outreach Program serves youth residing in some of San Francisco's most underserved neighborhoods, including Bayview Hunters Point, the Tenderloin, and others. On average, students reached through the Digital Studio Program are: 69% African American; 7% Multiracial; 7% Other; 5% Latino; 4% Asian; 1% Middle Eastern; 1% White; and 6% Unknown. 85% participate in the free/reduced cost school lunch program.
