Vision

SOFT is dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Trisomy 18, Trisomy 13, and related conditions by providing compassionate parent-to-parent support, accurate and unbiased information, and collaborative education for families, clinicians, and communities—ensuring informed decision-making, dignity, and continuity of care across the lifespan.

Goals

1. 1.SOFT seeks to expand access to its core family support services by strengthening and scaling parent-to-parent support for individuals and families affected by Trisomy 18, Trisomy 13, and related conditions. This includes increasing trained peer mentors, improving clinical referral pathways, and ensuring timely, compassionate support across the care journey.
2. 2.SOFT will strengthen organizational capacity to support sustainable growth and program quality by investing in staff training, program infrastructure, evaluation practices, and data systems. These efforts ensure accountability, consistency, and the delivery of high-quality, evidence-informed support to families and partners nationwide.
3. 3.SOFT aims to expand the reach of its family support programs by strengthening partnerships with clinicians, hospitals, and community organizations. By improving awareness, referral pathways, and collaboration, SOFT ensures more families are connected to trusted support at critical points of diagnosis and care.
