The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: In my 22-year tenure, I’ve seen great progress through initiatives like Prop. 49 and 21st Century LCs. It’s devastating that much of it was wiped away by the pandemic. Now, more than ever, addressing trauma and learning loss is key to rebuilding our communities. Our commitment is stronger than ever to restore what’s been lost and ensure every child has the chance to thrive.
Goal Two: By introducing vocational training & entrepreneurship programs, alongside college prep, we provide broader career paths for students, addressing diverse aspirations. These programs equip students with practical skills, foster creativity & independence, and enhance economic mobility. This holistic approach builds resilience and ensures all students are prepared for success in a changing workforce.
Goal Three: Investing in capacity building as we transition from BGCA to a grassroots community youth center is essential for self-reliance, sustainability, and maintaining community trust. It also equips new leaders for success and ensures we can offer more comprehensive services, improve program quality, and effectively serve more youth as we grow.
