West End Shelter for Animals

Mission

Provide a non-kill alternative to pet owners (pet housing and adoption); offer low cost vaccination services to help reduce suffering, disease and death; and promote the spaying or neutering of pets to reduce the number of unwanted surplus animals.

Vision

Provide a temporary home where owners can turn over their pet for adoption knowing that it will be well cared for until a new home is found, not killed in a few days. Be an excellent resource for the community to locate and adopt a sociable pet companion, as well as a center for public pet education and low-cost services and referrals to the community.

Goals

1.We are in the process of finalizing the addition of new kennel buildings which will allow for more space to rescue homeless cats and dogs. It will also allow us to renovate our existing buildings to provide more comfort to our animals during their stay with us.
2.We offer low-cost vaccination clinics every Tuesday night and occasional Saturday mornings on a walk-in basis. In addition to the affordable vaccines, we have free pet supplies available to clinic customers to help offset the cost of owning a pet.
